iPhone:Wifi Web Interface
From ViewRanger Wiki
NOTE: For installing maps it is usually best to use the iTunes File Sharing interface.
To start the wifi web interface go to Organizer
, then to Import / Export. Switch on “Wifi file access”. A web address will appear below the switch.
On your computer type this into a web browser. Note the whole URL is needed, including the http: and the :8080.
You'll then see a web form from where you can upload maps, GPX files and icons.
Your iPhone's UDID will be shown on this form too.
Troubleshooting
If the form does not appear then carefully check the URL. You need the whole URL, including the http and the :8080.
If the URL is correct then check the firewall settings on both the router and the computer permit access.

Web Form
The three links, GPX, Icons and Maps, allow you to list the content on the phone.
Clicking on Maps link will list the maps already installed on the iPhone and then click or right click and save target as, will allow you to export the map file off the iPhone.
To copy a GPX file off the iPhone/iPad, find the file in the GPX section, then right click and choose "Save target as" or similar. Some web browsers mis-name the file, you may need to change its extension to .GPX.
Note: In version 2.2 of ViewRanger, GPX files are not listed. (This will be fixed in the next update.) They are available to download. If your iPhone's web address is http://192.168.1.103:8080 and your GPX file is named 20111103.gpx then put this in your web browser's address box: http://192.168.1.103:8080/20111103.gpx. Some web browser's will prompt you to save it, on others you then need to use Save in the File menu. You can also access the files using iTunes file sharing.
.GPX (points, routes, tracks); .LOC (points). Also .ZIPs containing a number of the other files. If you transfer a ZIP file, ViewRanger on the iPhone will unpack it. So if sending a number of maps it may be best to ZIP up your maps and send them across in one go. We recommend you keep each ZIP file under 1GB in size.
Choose a file to upload by pressing the 'Browse...' button (this varies depending on your web browser). Then press the 'Upload' button. While transferring a file a progress bar is shown on the phone.
After transferring a map you'll need to enter a license key using Organizer
> Account & License. To request a license key contact support with you iPhone's UDID. The UDID is shown at the bottom of the web form.
